Sanyu is the proprietor of Naoradj Restaurant, a two year old business. She has used two improved cookstoves for the last year and a half and finds them to be durable, fast-cooking and economical on charcoal. Before using her improved stoves, Sanyu used to spend 5,000 UGX (€1.30) daily on charcoal. Now, with her improved cookstoves, she is only spending 3,000 UGX (€0.78). With these savings, she is able to contribute to her business’ rent and her children’s school fees.
