Doing Business Selling Improved Cookstoves

KAMPALA, UGANDA: Maria Namatovu has been running her own business for the last 5 years. She started to sell EUF improved cookstoves 3 years ago when she came across a EUF promotional campaign. Maria commented on her impression, “I could not believe the announcers words of saving fuel, charcoal and durability. I purchased one and thought I should include it in my shop.” Since then she went from initially selling five stoves per month to selling five stoves per day. With Impact Carbon’s help, EUF has a recognizable brand that she says customers prefer. Maria claims “EUF stickers give customers confidence. They know where to find the manufacturer if there are any problems. Other manufactures don’t mention where they are.”
