KAMPALA, UGANDA – Impact Carbon has launched its first radio campaign targeting base-of-the-pyramid consumers in an effort to promote Uganda’s improved cookstove sector as well as to build brand equity for Impact Carbon’s manufacturer partners. Each radio spot informs listeners of the benefits of using improved cookstoves, such as money savings and fuel and time efficiencies. Combining sector-strengthening messaging with promotion of Impact Carbon’s partners is hitting two birds with one stone.
Mark Turgesen, Impact Carbon’s Marketing Director explains, “By educating consumers on the proven advantages of using improved cookstoves while at the same time promoting Impact Carbon’s manufacturer partners, seems like a winning solution. We want the sector to grow and our partners to flourish in a stronger market. ”
